On the Road Again…
Over the next couple weeks, we’ll be traveling a lot. We were in Edwards, Colorado (right outside of Vail) this weekend. I leave for Orlando for a conference on Wednesday and then two more weekends of travel to follow after that. When on vacation or away on business, we always look to get workouts in while we’re gone.
This weekend, we hiked up ski slopes (no snow). This turned out to be a great workout and a way to see some of the country side.
Our entire hike took us up 1500 feet from where we started. Being at that elevation made our somewhat difficult hike a little challenging because of the decrease in oxygen we’re used to.
We found a playground on the way back that we used to show this week’s “Workout of the Week.”
While we were there, I went ahead and did a little workout. I often find people not able to keep up with their workout routines when they leave for vacation or business trips. Traveling can take you out of your regular routine, but can give you a chance to see and do things you wouldn’t normally do at home or in the gym.
For the examples below, we used the playground as our workout area.
All you need is an open mind and a little imagination.
***Please remember and keep in mind, that how I'm preforming these exercises isn't normal or in anyway the only way to exercise on a play ground. There are easier and basic options. I decided that if I'm going to do it, to do it ALL! (this doesn't mean you have to or need to)
Here are only a few examples of the workout we did on the playground, but I think you get the idea. Just remember to have fun and get creative. You'll enjoy the break from your routine and create new workout ideas to take back with you.
Start Strong, Finish Stronger!
